China’s consumer buyer power part 1

Rose MarshallBest Practice & Articles

Today, the Boston Consulting Group posted an article detailing the growth of China’s consumer buying power.

The article reminded me that other countries hop on the newer technologies while the US is stalled using the older tech. And, China
did just that. They skipped the PC, laptop, Lan, Intranet eras. China largely got on line when the cell technology was already
well proven. The US? not so much.

So, the Chinese buy directly from their smartphones. In fact 74% of their purchases are
from the smart phone, shopping and buying online. Many Chinese do not have, never needed a local pc
like the one I am using right now. Nope. They use their
phone for everything. Shop anywhere, everywhere, shop alot.
